Elisha Nain is a writer from Winchester, Virginia who grounds her stories in empathy. Raised in the South with roots stemming from Panama to Sierra Leone and beyond, she aims to express how our American voices are interwoven with our global family. In 2018, she was invited to the Can Serrat Residency program in El Bruc, Spain to develop an autobiographical musical entitled Mi Boca and spoke about Reproductive Rights at the Civil Liberties and Public Policy Conference. Her combative comedy, Maid of Slaughter, was chosen as a semi-finalist for the MultiStages New Works Contest. She divides her time between writing for film and theater and speaking compassionately for human rights. She is currently writing a sci-fi romantic screenplay.
