Alex Muir is the Advocacy Coordinator for One Hundred Miles, a nonprofit coastal advocacy organization that educates elected officials and community members about the impacts of sea level rise and land use decisions. An environmental conservationist, she organizes community initiatives in Chatham County and lobbies on offshore drilling, oyster mariculture and hazardous waste laws during the Georgia legislative session. She has a master’s degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University and lobbied for state legislation in 2020 to create funding for climate change adaptation.
